“ Our first trip to Blitz. Waitress was also bartender, and was very nice. Never saw anyone else working. Pretzel pillows were deep fried and tasty, beer cheese looked like it was going to be lumpy and cold but it was surprisingly very good. I would have liked a mustard sauce of some type as well. I might line the bowl with something that absorbs instead of the wax paper. I had to blot several pretzels on my napkin. Stuffed pepper soup tasted great but there was not one drop of broth. It was more like a scoop of tomato rice that could be eaten with a fork. I did like it though. Husband got 10 wings and appreciated the availability to split into 2 flavors. He ordered the "make it a plate with mac salad and fries" but the wings came out solo. When I reminded the waitress they were missing she immediately went to correct that but it still took about 15 minutes to come out. She comped us a Coke for the wait which was sweet but not necessary. Fries were unique, like steak fries but thinner and less mealy. They were almost roughed up or lightly breadcrumbed. We liked. Big disappointment in the mac salad. It tasted like a gluten free option and weirdly crumbled as I chewed. I almost spit it out. Very strange. I'm not sure if I'd go back. ”

“ We are so excited this place opened! We're from Texas and spend a lot of time up in this area during the summer and fall. We are college football junkies and we watch games from morning till night. When we walked in yesterday and saw alllll the screens, including one massive one, we just smiled at each other...we found our football spot!! The menu was great...lots of good bar food options with a few surprises! We were not super hungry, so we just ordered the potato kegs, which were freaking amazing! Super crispy on the outside and the inside was full of melt-in-your-mouth cheddary-bacon goodness! It was a nice portion and wonderful presentation. The had a great liquor/beer selection along with a nice cocktail menu. We had whiskey mules and then bourbon sours...all were perfect. We sat at the bar, and Lisa took care of us...she was super friendly and attentive, we really enjoyed talking to her. Another great aspect is parking...you'll never have to jockey for a spot in this plaza. Don't get me wrong, we love all the spots in the Village, but sometimes it's nice not to have to drive around for a while trying to find an empty spot. This side of town needed something just like Blitz! ”
